According to a survivor who spoke to Sahara Reporters, the attackers were dropped near a local market by a helicopter, which hovered in the air throughout the assault. This unusual method left villagers in shock, especially as the community had never experienced tension with Fulani settlers before.

• The attack began on Sunday evening with a helicopter drop-off near the market.
• The attackers were armed with guns but used cutlasses to butcher victims.
• Shops were looted, purses snatched, and innocent people were attacked in their homes.
