Ronaldo’s Portugal beat Spain on penalties to win Nations League

 Munich, Germany (June 8, 2025) — Portugal clinched their second UEFA Nations League title, edging past reigning champions Spain 5–3 in a nail-biting penalty shootout after the final ended 2–2 following extra time at the Allianz Arena .


Spain twice surged ahead through Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Oyarzabal, but Portugal answered both times—first with Nuno Mendes and then with a stunning volley from captain Cristiano Ronaldo, marking his 138th international goal  .
